Bug [01-Sep-2025]: TOXSWA not running after Windows11 24H2 update
The 24H2 update of Windows11 causes TOXSWA v.1.2 to stop after starting a run (“Time simulated: 0.0 d” is shown, but the run does not continue). This is due to the compiled Fortran code of 1999 not being able to handle near zero values correctly after this Windows 11 update. This is a reported issue of this Windows update for Fortran programs compiled more than 20 years ago. Note that stopping can be prevented by changing the volatilization parameters, e.g. increasing the value of the saturated gas pressure. However, this will result in an increase of volatilization, so lower PECs. For now, we advise to keep a Windows11 computer without the 24H2 update, for running TOXSWA v.1.2. How to do that can be found on several websites. When a solution for this problem has been found, we will report it here.
TOXSWA v1.2 can be downloaded here.
