Limitations#

Unsupported functionality#

The following functionality is (currently) not supported by SAFE:

  • This version of SAFE is only compatible with GEM5.5.3 and cannot be used for previous versions of GEM.
  • Soil-bound surface water assessments are not supported.
  • Relative applications for soil-bound assessments are not supported.

The following functionality was present in the previous SAFE versions but is not supported in the present version:

  • Limiting the assessment to the greenhouse simulation only and skip simulations for the ditch (SAFE soilless).
  • Specifying custom application intervals (SAFE soil-bound).
  • Graphical output of the results (SAFE soilless)

Known issues#

  • During the SWAP run for soil-bound assessments, the progress is not displayed on screen. After SWAP has completed and the PEARL run starts, the progress will be shown normally.
  • If output from the SWAP run is not available in the directory of the base assessment, SWAP wil be run for every subassessment. This is not strictly necessary since the SWAP run is not affected by the application date.
